2/21/2026 - Erica Gutshall from our Harrisburg office provided information about MidPenn's services at the Women's Resource Fair on Saturday, February 21st at Central Penn College. Thanks to Rep. Nate Davidson for making this event possible.

1/28/2026 - MidPenn Attorneys Jessica DeLong and Yinet Pérez Vega attended the Seventh Annual Diversity Mentorship Networking Night at Penn State Dickinson Law in Carlisle, PA. Also attending were LL.M. students Muhammad Usman Akram Toor and Alieca James. Triston C. O’Savio, Esq., was a guest speaker.

10/30/2025 - Congratulations to MidPenn attorney Angélica Matías. At the Berks Bar Association Annual meeting on October 30, 2025, President Dan Nevins, Esq. recognized several bar members for their contributions to the work of the bar association. Angélica was among the recipients of the 2025 Presidential Award of Merit. She was recognized for her work coordinating an after-school enrichment program with Wilson School District high school students.

9/26/2025 - At MidPenn's annual Access to Justice event, we honored incredible advocates making a real difference in our community. Congratulations to our award winners: Attorney Sheila O'Rourke (Donald F. Smith, Jr., Pro Bono Award), Blakinger Thomas Law Firm (Law Firm of the Year), and Lancaster Bar Association & Lancaster Law Foundation (Friends of Legal Services Award). Special recognition to Attorney Jim DeAngelo (Justice Ambassador Award) for leading our Pursuing Justice campaign, which raised $7,860 this year! 9/18/2025 - MidPenn staff were part of over 300 PA legal services advocates that took part in the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network's 2025 Statewide Training Conference on September 9 and 10. Workshops were held on various areas of civil law, language access, using AI, ethics and courtroom skills.

7/28/2025 - MidPenn Martin Luther King Summer Intern GeGe George and Martin Luther King Fellow Mallory Turner from our Harrisburg office attended the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network reception to recognize the 2025 Martin Luther King interns on July 24.

6/9/2025 - MidPenn staff attended the Stop the Violence event at Penn Park on Saturday, June 7. Leslie A. Martínez-Arce, Support Staff and Yinet Pérez Vega, Esq. engaged in conversations with community members about the services we provide at MPLS, program services.

5/5/2025 - MidPenn Attorney Yinet Perez Vega and Support Staff Perla Lopez Romero were at the Neurodiverse Network Mile & Disability Resource Fair . We were happy to provide information about our programs and how we can help the community.

5/2/2025 - MidPenn Legal Services proudly received an $18,200 grant from the Adams County Bar Foundation during the Law Day Celebration on May 1. Managing Attorney Nicole Sipe graciously accepted the award, which will fund a vital custody contract position in Adams County.

3/8/2025 - MidPenn Attorneys Yinet Perez Vega, Kate Dales and Nikki Sipe attended the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Annual Conference of County Bar Leaders in Gettysburg, PA.

11/22/2024 - MidPenn Managing Attorney Nick Matash received an Excellence in Service award on November 20th at Widener Law's Evening at the Capitol.
