Pro Bono Program
In 2024-2025, volunteer attorneys donated 2,480 hours of volunteer service in close cases on behalf of 1,007 low-income individuals and families across MidPenn's 18 county service area. Their efforts ensured that clients who would otherwise be unable to afford legal counsel were given access to the justice system.
Volunteer attorney services are delivered in a variety of ways including:
• Handling individual cases.
• Conducting Pro Se Clinics.
• Conducting Community outreach and education.
• Providing Brief Service and advice; and
• Contributing money/fees to MidPenn in lieu of taking cases.
Each September MidPenn holds the Access to Justice event honoring volunteering attorneys, law firms and non-attorney volunteers.
