Members of the Blair County Bar Association partnered with the PA Bar Association and offered Wills for Heroes to first responders in the community. The Wills for Heroes program is a statewide program that enables attorneys to provide free estate planning packages for first responders, military veterans and their spouses/partners. The free estate planning package includes wills, financial power of attorney and healthcare power of attorney, AKA a living will. The Wills for Heroes program opened in PA in 2009 and since then almost 23,000 free estate planning packages have been planned for the first responders/military vets of Pennsylvania. More information can be found under Wills for Heroes at pabar.org.
